Introductory Post

Hey! My name is Allie Weaver and I'm from Edmond, Oklahoma. I am a sophomore and am a Psychology major. I have a very strong interest in neuropsychology which is what I plan on going to graduate school to study. I took this course not only because it was required but because I have always enjoyed writing, and I really wanted to challenge myself into becoming a more experienced and better writer. Politics have never really appealed to me that much simply because I never really noticed how personally they really affect me. It was not until recently that I took an active concern in the presidential election and in politics in general. My biggest interest in politics as of now probably exists within the candidates opinions and plans on how he is going to deal with the problems in the Middle East. As I am getting older I am starting to realize how wars that are going on right now, whether overseas or here in the United States, are truly affecting me and will drastically affect my children and my grandchildren. I find my argument in this blog to be me trying to represent myself the best I can. The argument of gaining respect from my peers and my professor and accurately portraying my own opinions. (I also have read, understand, and agree to the terms of the course syllabus.)
